June's Book Club Book, The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife by Anna Johnston. Every third Saturday from 10am to 11am. Our Next meeting will be Saturday, June 20th and we will be discussing "The Borrowed Life Of Frederick Fife" by Anna Johnston. Explore the myth of Ceres, the changing seasons, and the deep agricultural roots that shaped the Show‑Me State. This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
Minecraft Minerals and more with Peter Bachle. Friday June 12th at 5pm. Discover the real-world rocks behind your favorite minecraft minerals. Peter Bachle, Associate Teaching Professor of Geology and Geophysics, will showcase actual specimens and explain the science that inspires the game! Memory Kits! Check Out one of our brand new Stay Sharp Memory Kits! Tailored for individuals grappling with memory loss, dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive challenges, these kits are also perfect for anyone seeking to enhance their short-term memory and mental agility. Kit Reminders and Rules: They are non-renewable, fourteen day checkout duration, Only one steam kit is allowed at a time per household, Place holds through library staff. Thank you and have fun!
Each Memory Kit revolves around a captivating theme like gardening, travel, space, and more. Within each kit, you’ll find a curated collection of items, including a book and three or four engaging activities like puzzles and card games. These activities are meticulously designed to spark lively conversations and ignite brain activity. The kits are available for checkout in the Main Library.
